With this breeding we aim to produce
puppies with incredible temperaments (both Gaia & Indy have the
"ideal" Leonberger temperament), with excellent heads and body size,
great conformation and type, and beautiful coats (deep red with lots of
black highlights). Indy took Winner's Dog at the 2003 LCA Nationals and at the
Winter NWLC Regional Specialty 2003. Gaia has 3 Champion Class wins at NWLC
Regional Specialties and took BOB & Group 1 at the October 2003 ARBA show.
This was a completicated and devastating delivery. Gaia went into labor 5 days early and then could not deliver on her own. She was rushed in for an emergency c-section. They found she suffered from Pyrometria and needed to be spayed. She had 4 puppies that were reabsorbed long before birth and 5 live puppies. But we lost one male puppy a few weeks after birth. The four remaining puppies got a rough start but turned into healthy lovely Leonbergers. We were very pleased with the conformation and temperaments of this litter, it turned out to be a wonderful combination.
